A drum circle is a group of people gathered together for the purpose of making music with percussion instruments. Lance Kamau James leads Green
Street circle a family-friendly event where people share their spirit by joining rhythmically to entertain as an ensemble. Green Street has several drums that can be shared, or bring your own! Everyone who comes and participates has something to offer the circle, and all are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Guitar for Beginners

Discover your inner rhythm in our group guitar class! Whether your interest is campfire sing-alongs, indie rock or blues, your musical journey starts here. Learn chords, simple strums and tuning in a fun relaxed group setting.
If you play a little or used to play years ago, challenge yourself and try Intermediate Guitar, or enroll in our private lessons. Students are required to bring a guitar and a twelve-stave manuscript pad to the first class.

Intermediate Guitar

This is the class for you if you can play basic open chords or have had some basic instruction in the past. Improve your skills with a group helping you along-hey, maybe
you'll even find your next band member! You'll learn the skills needed to play songs, strums, and a few licks. And if you feel like it, you can explore singing and playing at the same time.

guide through recording your own music and show you
how done in the process. So, if you're undecided as
to whether you'd like to record your own CD or take
a class in sound recording, do both in this unique

Sound Recording I with Pro Tools

Begin your journey to making polished,
professional sound recordings by learning on our
state-of-the-art equipment. John Bergeron will
introduce the fundamentals of audio theory,
demonstrate common interface problems and explain
the characteristics of a variety of commonly used
microphones and preamps in addition to teaching the
basics of Pro Tools–industry standard–software
for quality audio. Already have a home studio? By
the end of this hands-on lecture/lab you'll be
making the most of it!

Sound Recording II

Continue the journey into sound recording and
mixing techniques. John Bergeron will lead you
through and exploration of the aesthetic choices in
music production-tonality, rhythm, balance,
dynamics, arrangement, preparation and realization
of a successful music track and mix. Other topics
that will be introduced include sequencing and MIDI
Production and multi-track recording techniques.
Participants will have the opportunity to work with
a musician in Green Street's state-of-the-art
recording studio. Students who have not taken Sound
Recording I may be admitted with instructor's
approval.

Private Music Lessons* Whether you're a beginner or an
experienced musician looking for advanced instruction, private lessons
can enhance your abilities with personal attention that can be
beneficial to your growth as a musician. Lessons are scheduled weekly,
for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, and are available Monday through Saturday.

Prices:
$227 for eight weeks of 30-minute lessons
($28.38/lesson);
$340 for eight weeks of 45 minute lessons
($42.50/lesson);
$450 for eight weeks of 60 minute lessons
($56.25/lesson)
Trial Lessons:
A trial lesson provides a combined lesson and consultation prior to
enrollment in regularly scheduled individual instruction. The lesson
gives prospective students a no-obligation opportunity to try an
instrument or become familiar with a teacher. Private rates apply for
trial lessons.
Registration:
Registration for private lessons is due two weeks before the first
lesson. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration;
complete payment is due before the start of the second lesson.
